This self-proclaimed 'trendy and boutique' hotel is in an unusual property in that it offers three different wings, with completely different styles and price ranges, from the budget to the upper quality, to trendy and hip. Rates range from very cheap around 800 Baht to 1,800 Baht and up.

The V-One Hotel in Nakhon Ratchasima, also commonly known as Korat, is well located close to the heart of the city with major attractions, transport hubs and nightlife just a short tuk tuk ride away.

One of the major advantages with the V-One Hotel is if you choose to stay in the budget rooms, or V-One Sister Rooms as the hotel labels them, then you get all the services of the hotel which includes a good quality choice of cable TV programmes, reasonable buffet breakfast, WiFi in-room internet, and even use of the pool, albeit a small and unappealing one. This is very unusual for hotels that charge only around 800 Baht a night, where services are generally kept to a minimum.

The rooms in the V-One Sister category are basic but clean and comfortable. They include an electronic safe, WiFi connection, excellent selection of TV stations for the price paid, and an individual air-conditioning unit for which you can adjust temperature etc.

Move into the main hotel building and your choice and prices jump with rates starting from around 1,800 Baht. Here, the rooms are Silver, Golden, Platinum, Jewelry and Diamond and they are more spacious, more elegantly designed with all the modern touches today's travellers have come to expect from a quality 3/4 star hotel, including LCD TVs, tea and coffee making facilities and much better quality bathrooms with separate shower. The rooms are very modern and would not be out of place in any quality hotel, no matter what the city.

The other wing, and final category of rooms falls under the Hollywood brand. These rooms are quite surreal, but equally as, if nor more, impressive. While many of the rooms in this block do not have windows, the walls are plastered with large images of your favourite star (some in quite erotic poses), perhaps Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, or for the ladies Richard Gere etc., will take your mind off that fact, and help with sweeter dreams than normal!

The V-One hotel does have a gym, and also a small pool. Neither can be described as appealing, and if you want the pool to be a major part of your stay in Nakhon Ratchasima you would be much better off choosing a different hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel is served in the main restaurant, and while it won't be winning any Michelin Stars any time soon, the food and selection is adequate with a reasonable mix of fresh fruits, asian and western cuisine.

Overall, the V-One sister offers travellers outstanding value for money with a whole host of benefits. But, if you decide to go for that little more comfort and quality furnishings the main building with its Silver, Golden, Platinum Rooms, and the new wing with its impressive and fun Hollywood Rooms will not disappoint.

It should be noted that the V-One Sister rooms are not currently listed on the V-One's website, you may need to call them directly to make a room reservation in this category.
