Planet Scuba has been appointed by Siam Ocean World as the sole operator of their exciting new “Dive with the Sharks” program in Bangkok.

“Dive with the Sharks” is an amazing experience – swimming amongst a variety of magnificent creatures and one of man’s greatest underwater predators – the shark!

Planet Scuba opened its doors in 1994 in Bangkok to cater for the growing popularity of scuba diving in the local market. It was conceived by Cesare Benelli and Robin Lloyd as a branch of Samui International Diving School, one of Thailand’s first dive centers which began operation in Koh Samui in 1982 and remains one of the few PADI Career Development Centers in Thailand.

Planet Scuba has also become a major retailer of dive gear in association with their sister company, Siam Diving Enterprises which is the sole distributor of Mares diving equipment in Thailand. The new six storey Planet Scuba store located at Nr. 666 Sukhumvit Rd. (near exit 4 Phrom Phong Skytrain Station )is fully stocked with a wide variety of the latest dive gear and is a great source of information on Dive Travel in Thailand and Asia Pacific.

Siam Ocean World is Thailand and Southeast Asia’s biggest aquatic and education centre and is located in the recently opened Siam Paragon shopping complex in the heart of Bangkok. Siam Ocean World aquarium features more than 30,000 aquatic creatures from 400 species.

All Planet Scuba’s Shark Dive leaders are fully certified scuba diving instructors with extensive diving and teaching experience. Shark Dives are scheduled several times a day, seven days a week. Group sizes are controlled at a maximum five divers per immersion to ensure guests have a rewarding and personalized experience. Planet Scuba also caters for VIP and group/corporate bookings.

‘Dive with the Sharks’ thrill seekers do not require previous diving experience. The first-time diver will complete a scuba diving introduction program in the swimming pool prior to the aquarium dive. This takes just a few hours and can be conducted on the same day as the Shark Dive. Novices will be fully prepared for this incredible first diving experience amongst the creatures of the deep. They will also be fully equipped with the latest Mares wetsuits and equipment.
