For some reason, many people overlook Hua Hin as a
holiday option when planning their trip to Thailand. But whether it is
for a short escape away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, or for a
longer, much needed vacation, Hua Hin offers a convenient choice for
those looking to enjoy a beach and remain close to Bangkok. Hua
Hin is only between two and three hours away from Bangkok by car
yet offers everything that you could need from a beach resort in
Thailand. Hua Hin cannot in any way be compared to Pattaya, which
is of similar distance from Bangkok, as while there are a few
'girlie bars', they are not in any way as numerous or as
aggressive as they are in Pattaya. Hua Hin is basically much more
up market than Pattaya will ever be, and is far more of a
family-friendly destination. The beach at
Hua Hin is nice, although not of the high level that some guides
would have you believe. The beach is functional, the water ok but
not a myriad of turquoise colours that you could expect from
beaches in other parts of Thailand. Over

something for everyone's budget whether under a thousand Baht a
night to some of the best quality resorts in Thailand. For
