On
Koh Lanta Yai all the hotels, and bungalows are on the west of the
island. When choosing where to stay, you need to consider budget, but
also the beach you prefer, the type of accommodation, and whether you
want quiet or perhaps a livelier nightlife.
Many
of the beaches on Koh Lanta are slightly different, some better for
swimming, some with sand as soft and as fine as in your dreams. Some
beaches are close to, or even in the middle of, some serious nightlife
options, while others are extremely relaxing with very little for
evening entertainment. One thing you do not need to concern yourself
with is shopping. This is a beautiful island with lush rain forest, and
tanatlisingly clear waters, enjoy it and leave any shopping you may need
for Bangkok where nearly everything will be significantly cheaper
anyway.
