Generally
airports are pretty boring, even the most modern of airports, while
perhaps dazzling in modernity, may not be the most popular of places
among frequent travellers.
There
are two airports though that must be among the most beautiful, and
enjoyable airports in the world. Both in Thailand, the airport at Koh
Samui is stunning and the airport at Sukhothai, while smaller, is equally
as impressive.
Sukhothai, approximately 427km north of
Bangkok, was for roughly 120 years, the capital of Thailand. Today, it is
the capital of Sukhothai Province. Sukhothai when translated means 'Dawn of
Happiness' and still lives up to its name with many tourists travelling
to the city to enjoy its historical marvels.
