Anyone
who saw the images shown around the world of the devastation caused by
the killer Tsunami that struck the shores of South Asia could be
forgiven for thinking that the nightlife, especially the infamous Soi
Bangla in Phuket, must have been destroyed. Soi Bangla however is fully
operational and while it may not be quite as busy as it should during
what is the peak season there are still many foreigners enjoying this
unusual spot in paradise. Soi
Bangla, is very much Phuket's Patpong, and has restaurants, shops but
mainly bars offering what some might describe as sleazy but most
definitely unusual entertainment.
