Zoom Air, Indias newest airline, has joined Bombardiers family of more than 100 CRJ Series aircraft owners and operators. The CRJ200 aircraft, acquired from a third party, will operate from the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi and will serve 16 destinations, connecting smaller cities and towns across the country.

Travelodge has appointed Craig Bonnar as Chief Operating Officer in the United Kingdom. Craig will report directly to the Chief Executive, Peter Gowers and be a member of the groups operating board. He will take direct management responsibility for leading the groups hotel operations across more than 500 hotels in the UK and Spain.

Smiths Detection's portable explosives and narcotics trace detector, the IONSCAN 600, has been approved for explosives trace detection as part of the passenger and baggage screening process within Chinese airports by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). The IONSCAN 600 also meets the ECAC/EU standard for cargo and passenger screening.
21. Boeing to Provide UAE with C-17 Globemaster III Training Support
Boeing has signed a two-year, $18.7 million contract from the United Arab Emirates to provide C-17 Globemaster III logistics support and training simulator maintenance. Boeing, which originally manufactured the C-17, will support the UAEs inventory of realistic, motion-based training devices used to train aircrews and support personnel for the countrys fleet of airlifters.

A spa carriage has been added to the Belmond Royal Scotsman. Joining the rake on 17th April, the start of the 2017 season, the Bamford Haybarn Spa is the first spa carriage to be introduced aboard Belmonds portfolio of luxury trains and features bespoke Bamford treatments for passengers travelling on overnight rail journeys throughout Scotland and Great Britain.

According to data compiled by STR, the U.S. hotel industry opened the year with positive results in the three key performance metrics. In a year-on-year comparison with January 2016 occupancy increased 0.5% to 54.1%, ADR was up 3.2% to US$120.72 and RevPAR grew by 3.8% to US$65.33.
