The US Eagles have landed in Hong Kong ahead of this weekend’s Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens (22-24 March 2013).

In the brood is young flyer Carlin Isles, one of the fastest players in world rugby.

Prior to Sevens, Isles starred in track & field and was a world-ranked sprinter who qualified for the USA Olympic trials before making the switch to rugby.

Hong Kong Debut for Jamaica

Jamaica is the only debut team in this year's tournament and the 52nd nation overall to take part in the Hong Kong Sevens since its inception in 1976.

Jamaica will be playing in the 12-team pre-qualifier competition held as part of this weekend's tournament.

The top four teams progressing from Hong Kong will advance to the London Sevens in May (along with the Hong Kong VII as HSBC Asian Sevens Series champions) for a chance at promotion to next year's HSBC Sevens World Series.
