HKRFU Launches Rugby App; Chance to Win Tickets to Hong Kong Sevens

The Hong Kong Rugby Football Union (HKRFU) has launched its first ever mobile application.

The app provides a mix of social media updates, news, photos and videos from the HKRFU’s premier international events like the Cathay Pacific / HSBC Hong Kong Sevens (22-24 March 2013) and the British & Irish Lions v Barbarians match (1 June 2013).

The app also provides regular updates on Hong Kong team performances in various international competitions as well as all of the action from the HKRFU Domestic leagues.

“Rugby is renowned for being a social sport that lends itself perfectly to social media. The HKRFU has fans, supporters and friends worldwide so the Hong Kong Rugby App is the ideal channel for us to enhance and improve our communications with our audience both around the world and around the district,” said HKRFU Chairman, Trevor Gregory. “We believe the app will be equally well received by the global rugby community and our local community of players, supporters and patrons and we look forward to its continued growth and development in the years to come.”

Fans of the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens will be among the first to appreciate the app as the HKRFU is launching with a promotional giveaway of 60 tickets to the 2013 Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens.
