Page 1 of 18. The annual Cathay Pacific / HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, widely regarded as the greatest Rugby Sevens spectacle on earth, took place 28-30 March 2014.

And it's not just the men's sevens, 11 teams from 5 continents will play in the Cathay Pacific / HSBC Hong Kong Women's Rugby Sevens. Tickets to Hong Kong Sevens 2014 were, similar to last year, sold through public ballot and, always they quickly Sold Out!. The Cathay Pacific / HSBC Hong Kong Men's Qualifier and Women's Sevens Draw took place on 11 February 2014, and key stakeholders have teamed up to tackle waste at the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2014. The future of rugby in Hong Kong is looking particularly bright, especially now that 40 HKRFU athletes have been inducted into the first ever Elite Rugby Sevens Programme, Kane Jury has been appointed as HKRFU Men's Sevens Coach at Hong Kong Sports Institute, and HKRFU's Chairman Trevor Gregory has been appointed President of Asian Rugby Football Union. Not just that, but the Hong Kong team is preparing for the IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy 2014, and recent high profile appointments are sure to raise rugby refereeing standards in Hong Kong.
