Virgin Australia has removed all plastic straws and stirrers from its aircraft and lounge operations. The move will see more than 260,000 plastic straws and 7.5 million plastic stirrers a year removed from operations and replaced with paper straws and bamboo stirrers.

Bombardier has remarketed 13 previously owned CRJ900 aircraft to Regional One. Two of the aircraft were owned by Bombardier and eleven were remarketed on behalf of a third party. Eight of the thirteen aircraft were delivered in 2016 and one in 2017. The remaining four are scheduled for delivery later this year.

Accor has expanded its portfolio of hotels in India with the opening of the ibis Kochi City Centre, AccorHotels’ first property in the state of Kerala.
