HD Videos from JATA Tourism Expo 2016

[HD videos below] The JATA Tourism Expo 2016 took place at Big Sight Convention Centre in Ariake, Tokyo between 22 and 25 September 2016.

The event attracted 185,800 attendees over the four days, an all-time high.

JATA Tourism Expo 2016 had five main components: the Exhibition, with displays from 140 countries and regions around the world, as well as the 47 administrative divisions of Japan and 1,181 companies and organizations; the JATA Tourism Expo Japan Forum, in which experts discussed the latest trends in tourism; the Business Meeting, a meeting of suppliers and travel agencies from Japan and abroad; Japan Night, which brought together general consumers and domestic and foreign tourism industry leaders; and the Japan Tourism Awards, recognizing the contributions of companies, organizations, and individuals who have worked to boost demand, as well as outstanding travel products.

Steven Howard of TravelNewsAsia was at JATA Tourism Expo and had the opportunity to interview the following five VIPs.

The videos include a Japan Tourism Update, Cambodia Tourism Update, Myanmar Tourism Update and a Kazakhstan Tourism Update. Steven also talks to Suwada Blacksmith Works of Niigata, Japan to learn why some of their nail clippers cost almost US$ 600 and what they have to do with Samurai warriors!

The JATA Tourism Expo 2017 will take place 21-24 September 2017 with 21 and 22 September being open to travel trade and press only.
