[HD video below] Exclusive HD video interview with Zhanat Kazkenova, Head of Division, Tourism Industry Department, Ministry of Investment and Development, Republic of Kazakhstan.

In this video, filmed at the JATA Tourism Expo in Tokyo, Japan, Zhanat tells us how important Japanese travellers are to Kazakhstan, how many visited the country in 2015, and what the targets are for this year and next.

We discuss how many of those travellers are visiting Kazakhstan for business, how many are on leisure trips and how the average length of stay differs between the two.

We also discuss visas and Air Astana's connectivity between the major cities of Kazakhstan and Japan.

In 2017 Kazakhstan will be the host country of EXPO 2017. Zhanat tells us about this, how many visitors the country is hoping EXPO 2017 will attract, and what the country is doing to improve the infrastructure for tourists with better signage, more taxis and the like.

Zhanat tells us about the other countries which make up the bulk of arrivals to Kazakhstan, where she would go on holiday in the country and much, much more in the HD video below.
