Star Alliance partners Air Canada and Avianca Brasil have implemented the first stage of a codeshare agreement. Initially, Air Canada will sell tickets for flights operated by its partner Avianca Brasil under the AC code, significantly expanding its distribution in the local Brazilian market.
79. Unmanned Maritime Surveillance Testing to Take Place This Summer
The AR5 Life Ray UAS, developed by Tekever, has been selected by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) to demonstrate the first European maritime surveillance system where drones are integral to operations. The first demonstration will be performed this summer over the Maltese waters of the Mediterranean sea.
80. Starwood Signs Second Aloft Hotel in Seoul, South Korea
Starwood has signed its second Aloft hotel in Seoul, South Korea. Owned by Shin Chang, the Aloft Seoul Myeongdong is a new new-build hotel which is scheduled to open in February 2017. Located at 104 Myeongdong in the Jung-gu sub-district, Aloft Seoul Myeongdong is located in the heart of Myeongdong, a major shopping district and tourist destination.
