Air Canada Signs Pratt & Whitney PurePower Engine Services Agreement

Air Canada has signed a services agreement with Pratt & Whitney for maintaining the fleet of PurePower PW1500G engines which power its 45 firm and 30 option C Series aircraft for 15 years.

Collaborating with Pratt & Whitney for engine maintenance allows us to benefit from their experience developing this ground breaking engine technology and provides us the long-term reliability and predictability to provide the best service for our customers,” said Richard Steer, vice president, Air Canada Maintenance and Engineering. “This new business agreement reiterates the confidence that Air Canada has in Pratt & Whitney and we are looking forward to growing our collaboration.”

The final assembly of the PW1500G engine is done in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada.
