4. Alitalia to Cease All Flights To and From Reggio Calabria
Alitalia has confirmed that from 27 March 2017 it cease all flight operations from Reggio Calabria to Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate and Turin airports. The airline currently operates 56 flights a week to and from Reggio Calabria airport, 38 with Rome, 14 with Milan Linate and 4 with Turin.

Airbus has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Thai Airways to evaluate the development of a major new maintenance and overhaul (MRO) facility at U-Tapao International Airport near Pattaya, Thailand.

Jumeirah has appointed Mahmoud Sakr as Area General Manager for its Dubai city hotels and also GM of Jumeirah Emirates Towers, while Sven Wiedenhaupt has been appointed as General Manager of Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
8. Brisbane Airport Trials New Boarding Gate Technology
Brisbane Airport, in partnership with Air New Zealand, is currently testing SITA Smart Path. The new technology uses sophisticated biometrics so that passengers just need to present their details at a self-service kiosk at check-in and then when ready to board, use an automated boarding gate to be verified using face recognition technology to access the aircraft.
