According to data from STR, the U.S. hotel industry reported positive results in the three key performance metrics during December 2014. Overall, in year-on-year results the U.S. hotel industry’s occupancy was up 4.8% to 52.6%; ADR rose 4.3% to US$113.42; and RevPAR increased 9.3% to US$59.62.

In August 2014, the region’s occupancy rose 1.1% to 72.6%; ADR remained virtually flat, rising 0.3% to US$116.54 while RevPAR was up 1.4% to US$84.63.
