Jerome Thil Joins Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific as Vice President of Marketing

Jerome Thil has been appointed as Vice President of Marketing for Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific.

Based in Singapore, Jerome will lead marketing for Sabre Travel Network’s GDS and travel distribution technology solutions, serving agencies and suppliers across Asia Pacific.

Jerome reports to Wade Jones, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for Sabre Travel Network.

“Jerome’s strong background in the global distribution and travel technology space is a clear advantage for both Sabre and our customers,” said Roshan Mendis, Senior Vice President of Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific. “But it’s also his track record of leading successful international teams which makes him an ideal fit to drive our product marketing and new technology initiatives in the APAC region, where we now have an established local presence spanning 29 markets.”

Jerome has held a number of senior global positions in travel distribution, most recently with Amadeus, and led the launch and acquisition of successful technology startups across Europe and Asia – including Sprice in Singapore and Wildfire Asia in China and Singapore.

Jerome takes over the role currently held by Martin Symes, who will remain with Sabre until later this year when he plans to return to the UK following a 20-year stint in the Asian travel industry.
