Mr. Troy Hickox has been appointed as General Manager of the Conrad Macau, Cotai Central.

Hickox has over 18 years of international experience honed from management roles, and in particular pre-opening positions, with various luxury hotel brands such as The Peninsula Hotels, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and Design Hotels.

In addition to his international exposure, Hickox’s Chinese and Australian ancestral heritage provides an excellent platform for him to interact with the diverse cultures in the cosmopolitan city of Macau.

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Hickox has called Hong Kong his home for the last 28 years. He is a graduate of the Swiss Hotel Association colleges and Le Cordon Bleu Ecole de Cuisine, and is also a post-graduate alumnus of Oxford Brookes University Business School in the UK and Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.

“I am extremely proud to oversee the opening of Conrad Macau,” said Hickox. “We have drawn together an exceptional leadership team and extraordinary team members who are eagerly looking forward to introducing our unique approach to luxury and signature flawless service to Macau. Discerning business and leisure travellers to the Cotai Strip will now be able to enjoy luxury made just for them, or as we call it, The Luxury of Being Yourself.”

The Conrad Macau, Cotai Central, is scheduled to open on 11 April 2012.
