Le Méridien Dubai to Open 197 New Rooms

Le Méridien Dubai has unveiled the much anticipated new expansion of its premises under the directive of wasl Asset Management Group headed by His Excellency Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim.

The expansion will add 197 guest rooms and new banqueting facilities to the hotel.

The 8-storey building housing the 197 new guest rooms is being constructed adjacent to the current Royal Club, and will further increase the current room inventory of 383 to 580.

The new guest rooms will each be of minimum 50 sqm in size with a modern minimalist interior and fitted with the latest in technology and guest comfort. Personalized customer and butler service on each floor, a rooftop pool and an exclusive Club lounge, in addition to the current Royal Club benefits, are only some of the features and benefits guests can expect. The new guestrooms’ project commenced construction six months ago and is slated for completion by May 2013.

The banqueting facilities too will undergo expansion and refurbishment starting July 2012. The existing Falcon Ballroom will be rebuilt to accommodate a capacity of 1000 and the Great ballroom will witness extensive refurbishment to reflect modern trends in décor and technology; both ballrooms together will accommodate up to 1550 guests.

At present, Le Méridien Dubai’s Food & Beverage outlets comprise of 18 restaurants and bars. In the course of the past 12 months, three new restaurants have opened including Mahec an Indian dining outlet, Abatjour, Lebanese restaurant and a unique European style Seafood restaurant – M’s Seafood Bistro.

Le Méridien Dubai will also continue to undergo its ongoing renovation of its existing rooms and lobby area.
