1. PATA Appoints Mario Hardy as Chief Operations Officer
PATA has appointed Mr Mario Hardy as Chief Operations Officer, effective 15 January 2014. Based at PATA HQ in Bangkok, Mr Hardy will support CEO Martin Craigs. Mr Hardy has been Chairman of the PATA Foundation since June 2012 and has been at the forefront of the foundation’s response to tropical storm Haiyan in the Philippines since 8 November.

7. PATA Travel Mart 2014 to Take Place in Phnom Penh 17-19 September
The 37th PATA Travel Mart 2014 will take place 17-19 September 2014 at Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. PTM 2013 in Chengdu, China, attracted 550 seller and 473 buyer delegates with over 10,000 business appointments conducted over the days. A similar or larger number are expected in Phnom Penh.
