AirAsia has increased its flight frequencies to Yangon. The low cost carrier will fly twice daily to the former capital city beginning 8 October 2012. AirAsia currently flies from Kuala Lumpur – Yangon once daily, and will have 2x daily flights when the additional frequency takes effect, making the total flights 28x weekly between both destinations.

Korean Air is to launch nonstop flights between Seoul Incheon and Yangon, the largest city and the center for trade, industry, entertainment and tourism in Myanmar, from 13 September 2012. Korean Air’s new service to Yangon will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft with Boeing Sky interior seating 138 passengers.
