9. Boeing Expands Training Facilities with New Azerbaijan Airlines Partnership
Boeing and Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) have partnered to add additional flight training capability in Baku, Azerbaijan. The long-term agreement adds the new AZAL Aviation Training Center to Boeing’s global network of flight training campuses. The training campus includes new full-flight simulators for the Boeing 757 and 767, Airbus A320 as well as ATR airplanes.

Jumeirah Signs Venu Hotel in Azerbaijan. Jumeirah Group, a Dubai-based luxury hotel company and member of Dubai Holding, has signed an agreement with Azinco Holding Company to manage the Venu Bilgah Hotel, Baku. The hotel, located on the shores of the Caspian Sea, is scheduled to open in 2011.
