Sponsor: Our coverage of the Chartis Cup 2012 was sponsored by the Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel. Just 28 minutes from downtown Hong Kong and conveniently located near the airport, AsiaWorld-Expo and Hong Kong Disneyland, the 5-star luxury Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel is the ideal and affordable choice for MICE, business and leisure travelers.

The Chartis Cup 2012 was always going to be a much bigger and more exciting event than the inaugural Chartis Cup that took place in 2011. Not only was the game going to be played in the 40,000-seat Hong Kong stadium, but it was to feature some of the biggest names in rugby XVs.

The day featured kids rugby, veterans rugby and part of the proceeds from the Chartis Cup are going towards the Royal Project office in Thailand, under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, to renovate schools hit by the flooding last year.

You can read how a last-gasp penalty from replacement centre Elvis Seveali'i gave the BGC APBs a hard-fought 22-20 win over English club Saracens in the Chartis Cup in Hong Kong on 9 June 2012, here.

Below you will find a selection of some of the pictures from the Chartis Cup 2012, and three shots from the U14s final which took place earlier in the day.
