SuperJet Appoints Stewart R. Cordner as Senior Vice President Commercial

SuperJet International (SJI) has appointed Stewart R. Cordner as Senior Vice President Commercial.

Stewart will manage, amongst other things, the sales and marketing activities for the Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) Program.

Stewart made his first steps in aviation in 1985 with British Aerospace. Over the past 32 years he has enjoyed a global career within commercial aviation, his experience encompassing manufacturing, MRO, customer support and latterly for the last 15 years aircraft sales and asset management.

Stewart worked for BAE Systems for more than 10 years and in 2010 he founded the Cordner Aviation Group, specializing in aircraft trading and marketing consultancy services. He joined Ilyushin Finance Corporation in October 2012 as Sales and Marketing Director. During his career, he has also held various positions overseas in Latin America, USA, China and Europe.

“This appointment is aimed at setting a noticeable change of direction,” said Stefano Marazzani, CEO of SuperJet International. “Stewart’s experience and passion will consolidate and strengthen our relations with existing and future customers. His knowledge and hard knocks experience blended with his heart will lead the SSJ100 Program to higher results.”

Stewart graduated at Loughborough University Business School in Industrial Sales and Marketing. He is married with two sons.
