British DJ Pete Tong to Rock Singapore on First Night of Rugby Sevens in April

DJ-producer Pete Tong is to perform his musical magic after the final whistle of day one of the HSBC World Rugby Singapore Sevens on 16 April 2016.

The British DJ is famous for his Essential Mix and Essential Selection radio programmes on BBC Radio One in the UK.

“Pete Tong is a legend who started his radio career in the late 1970s and is one of the Britain’s most recognised DJs and producers,” said Frederick Yao, a DJ in Singapore. “His All Gone Pete Tong residencies and parties are renowned globally. The fact that he was awarded an MBE for his services to broadcasting and music says it all. I love rugby and can’t wait to watch the likes of Japan and New Zealand in action. I bought a two-day pass for just S$ 120 and to be able to catch Pete Tong performing ‘live’ in addition to the rugby makes it a real bargain. Partying at the National Stadium will be a unique party experience and I’m looking forward to a rocking good time with my friends.”

Exclusive hospitality packages are available at Sin$ 2,200, while two-day passes ranging from S$50 to S$150 (excluding booking fees).

“Having Pete Tong perform at the HSBC World Rugby Singapore Sevens is in line with what we aim to deliver, a tournament that’s not only for rugby fans, but for everyone seeking a unique sports and party experience,” said Low Teo Ping, Rugby Singapore’s Chairman. “Rain or shine, spectators can watch world-class rugby, rock their hearts out to great music under the domed roof of the Singapore National Stadium and enjoy a family-friendly carnival around the Singapore Sports Hub.”
