Premier Inn Opens First Hotel in Germany

Premier Inn has expanded its rapidly growing portfolio of hotels to Germany with the soft opening of the 210-room Frankfurt Messe Premier Inn next to the Messe Exhibition Ground.

The hotel is just a short bus or train ride away from Frankfurt’s main station and sights of the city such as Römerberg Square, Paul’s Church and Zeil shopping mile.

Rooms feature an ultra-comfy, pillow-top Hypnos bed supported by over a thousand pocket springs, free WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning, choice of pillows, blackout curtains, soundproof walls and a showerroom.

Mark Anderson, Managing Director for Commercial, Property and Premier Inn Germany, said, “Opening our fantastic Frankfurt Premier Inn – our first hotel in Germany – kicks off our national expansion programme. Our official opening for the site will be in April but in the interim we wanted to welcome our first guests, get their feedback and incorporate that where possible. The feedback so far has been very positive ... We have established a German business and a significant capex budget which we’re using to drive momentum and build our development pipeline.”

Since announcing its expansion into the German hotel market, Premier Inn has secured around 600 new rooms in 3 new sites into its pipeline and is looking to open six to eight hotels in the first few years.

In October last year, Premier Inn completed a deal on a new 205-bedroom site in Munich, due to open in late 2018 / early 2019.
