Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas has appointed Amber Marie Beard to the newly created position of Vice President Sustainability.

"In this new position at Six Senses, sustainability will take on an even greater strategic role within the organization as it is elevated to the level of the executive committee. With Pegasus Capital Partners, who acquired the company in 2012 and has over $2.2 billion in sustainably focused assets under management, Six Senses recognized the importance of prioritizing sustainability by inviting Amber to this position, illustrating once again that environmental preservation and cultural conservation can be achieved without compromise to the award winning experiences for which the company is renowned," said Bernhard Bohnenberger, President of Six Senses.

Beard has nearly 10 years experience in the sustainability field, including positions with Lend Lease - one of the world's largest property developers, China Resources - one of China's largest government owned organizations, and Sustainability Ltd, an investment finance-company managing niche real estate opportunities in China, Japan and Australia.
