3. Qatar Airways Increasing Doha-Kochi Capacity
Qatar Airways will increase capacity on its flights from Doha to Kochi, replacing a narrow-body Airbus 321 operating the route with a wide-body Airbus 330. The A330 will be used on all 11 frequencies to and from Kochi, offering 36 Business Class seats and 248 Economy seats.
4. AirAsia Switching Medan Airports
AirAsia has completed system migration in preparation for the move of its Medan operations from Polonia International Airport to Kualanamu International Airport on 25 July 2013. 5. Xintiandi Hotels Appoint New DOSM
The Langham Xintiandi and 88 Xintiandi hotels have appointed Marlene Fang as Director of Sales and Marketing, effective immediately. Fang will oversee the sales and marketing strategies for both properties, to help drive revenue in the MICE, corporate and leisure markets. Originally from Singapore, Marlene has worked at various hotels in Singapore, Beijing and Guangzhou.
6. Helen Cheung Joins Lanson Place
Lanson Place Hospitality Management Limited has appointed Helen Cheung as Marketing Communications Manager. Cheung will be responsible for maximizing the brand exposure of all nine of Lanson Place's properties - a boutique hotel in Hong Kong and eight serviced residences in Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
7. Six Ritz-Carlton Hotels Opening in 2013

8. Hilton Signs Deal With Rakuten Travel
Hilton Worldwide and Rakuten Travel have entered into a new intermediary agreement, through which the agency's customers have access to room availability, rates and reservation information at 54 Hilton properties. The programme will later be expanded to include Hilton's 4,000 hotels in 90 countries.
