Worldhotels has opened the Worldhotel Turquoise Chandigarh.

The 72-room Worldhotel Turquoise Chandigarh is just a 10-minute drive from the newly opened Chandigarh International Airport and is located in a booming industrial park adopted as a pharmaceuticals and IT hub.

Chandigarh is one of India’s first planned cities, known internationally for its architecture and urban design by famous architect Le Corbusier. It is also one of the fastest growing business hubs of North India.

Conference and banqueting facilities at the hotel accommodate large-scale events for up to 4,500. Recreational facilities include an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium and a spa.

“The opening marks a historic milestone with our first Worldhotel branded hotel in India,” said Worldhotels Vice President Asia- Pacific Roland Jegge. “Adopting the Worldhotel brand enables quality independent hotels to position themselves internationally in the face of competition from global hospitality brands.”

The ‘Worldhotel’ brand was first launched last year and now includes hotels in Almaty, Hamburg, Munich, Hague, Wuxi, Bali and Makati.
