Jet Airways to Increase Flights Between Kolkata and Bangkok

India’s Jet Airways is to operate an additional Boeing 737 flight between Kolkata and Bangkok from 10 May 2012.

This is the second daily frequency to be introduced on this route to also cater to the enhanced demand with the upcoming holiday season.

The new daytime service, will compliment the earlier late night flight already operational between Kolkata and the Thai capital.

Flight 9W 72 will leave Kolkata at 11:00 and arrive Bangkok at 15:10. On the return leg, 9W 71 will depart Bangkok at 16:00 and arrive Kolkata at 17:05 providing onward connections to other destinations on the airline’s network.

Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways said, “Jet Airways is happy to introduce a second frequency on the Kolkata-Bangkok route and we are confident that this additional service will prove immensely popular with our guests. With the increased flow of tourist and business traffic to and from Bangkok along with the growing seasonal demand this summer, we are pleased to provide this additional flight to meet the requirement of our guests. The convenient connections from Kolkata into the Jet Airways network which will now offer guests onward connections on the airline network both within India and abroad. We are confident that this would meet the needs of the corporate, MICE and leisure travelers.”

Jet Airways currently flies thrice daily to Bangkok from Mumbai and daily from Delhi.
