The Travelers’ Lounge @ HKIA Wins Priority Pass AP Lounge of the Year Award

[HD video below] The Travelers’ Lounge in the East Hall of Hong Kong International Airport is has won the Priority Pass Lounge of the Year Award.

The lounge has won the Asia Pacific Regional Award 2012, voted for by the members of Priority Pass, an independent airport lounge access program.

Jonathan French, Head of Brand, Priority Pass, said, “Our members are discerning travelers who frequently visit lounges around the world and as such, know a thing or two about lounges and the standard of service they offer. With around 190 lounges in the Asia Pacific region, winning this award is a great achievement for The Travelers’ Lounge in Hong Kong. The Priority Pass Lounge of the Year Awards, established in 2005, are designed to recognise service excellence amongst the lounges in the Priority Pass program. With the award based on more than 40,000 ratings made by Priority Pass members from around the world, The Travelers’ Lounge was nominated for its flagship design, full amenities and secluded VIP area. Facilities offered by the lounge also include shower, Wi-Fi, massage & spa services.

There were a total of nine winners in the Priority Pass 2012 Lounge of the Year Awards:

Global Award: Swiss-Lounge, Basel-Mulhouse
Asia Pacific: The Travelers’ Lounge, Hong Kong – East Hall
Europe: Swiss Lounge, Basel-Mulhouse (global winner)
North America: Alaska Airlines Board Room, Seattle
Latin America and Caribbean (LAC): American Airlines Admirals Club, Rio
Africa/Middle East: Menzies Aviation Shongololo Lounge, Johannesburg
Best Staff: The Yorkshire Premier Lounge, Leeds Bradford
Best Refreshments: Dilmun Lounge, Bahrain
Best Business Facilities: No.1 Gatwick, North Terminal, London Gatwick
