The Nikko Bali Resort and Spa has appointed Peter Maurice van Peborgh-Gooch as Director of Sales and Marketing.

He will be overseeing the department, replacing Joy Cartwright, who has been appointed to a new position for the resort.

Peter will be in charge of implementing the plan for the repositioning of the Nikko Bali Resort and Spa as a new reference for luxury hotels. He will also execute the upcoming launch of the resort’s new luxury villas, multipurpose function centre and new wedding gazebo facility; that are all currently under development.

Peter is an experienced Sales and Marketing professional and has successfully overseen the commercial side of several luxury properties in Europe, the Middle East and more recently Asia, working for top flight hotel brands such as Ritz-Carlton, Savoy Group and InterContinental.

He came to Bali for his last appointment as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Ayana, (formerly the Ritz-Carlton), which is now part of the Capella Hotel Group.

“A seasoned hotelier with more than 25 years of international experience in both Sales and Marketing and Operations, in resort and city centre locations, in regional and on-property capacities, Peter will be a great asset for us. Having previously worked with a resort in Bali that has undergone a successful change, we believe that he will be able to contribute enormously in our plan to take Nikko Bali Resort and Spa another step up,” said Jean-Charles Le Coz, the General Manager of Nikko Bali Resort and Spa.
