Aston International has opened its twenty-second Aston branded hotel in Indonesia – the Aston Makassar Hotel & Convention Center.

The 177-room 4-star hotel is located in the heart of Makassar on Jalan Sultan Hasanuddin in Indonesia’s South Sulawesi Province, offering easy access to Makassar’s central business district and the popular Losari Beach promenade.

Amongst its 177 guest rooms the hotel features several lavish executive suites and a 115 m2 Presidential Suite. For MICE the hotel also has a state of the art convention center with two grand ballrooms and 10 auxiliary meeting rooms.

Recreational facilities include a swimming pool, a gym and a full service spa with 20 treatment rooms and a reflexology center and, as a first in Makassar, an up market panorama roof top wine lounge located on the hotel’s 16th floor affording sweeping views of the city and nearby Makassar Strait.

Makassar is Sulawesi’s largest city and ranked amongst Indonesia’s top 10 metropolitan areas with an approximate population of 1,400,000. Besides its booming economy and important harbor, the city also offers several tourist attractions such as the colonial Fort Rotterdam and the Trans Studio indoor theme park which is the third largest indoor amusement park in the world.
