Okura Hotels & Resorts will soon open the first Prestige collection hotel in Thailand.

The Okura Prestige Bangkok, scheduled to open in May 2012, is housed within the newly constructed Park Ventures Ecoplex, a building known for its functional, energy efficient concepts as well as its unique architectural form, which embodies the Thai ‘wai’, a symbol of welcome and thanks.

Nestled at the intersection of Phloenchit and Wireless Road (often referred to as “Embassy Row” due to the numerous foreign embassies that line the area) The Okura Prestige Bangkok is in a favourable location for business, shopping and cultural excursions.

Immediate access to Phloenchit Skytrain station, by means of a pedestrian sky-bridge, allows hassle-free transport across most of central Bangkok.

Okura Prestige Bangkok’s 240 guest rooms and suites are equipped with the finest in-room amenities and technology including digital bedside control panels and Internet Television.

For recreation, the Okura Prestige Bangkok features a fitness centre, spa and the architecturally-impressive cantilevered infinity swimming pool.

From Japanese haute cuisine at Yamazato, to the modern culinary theatre of Elements, and an Up & Above Restaurant and Bar, the hotel offers a good selection of dining options.

The Okura Prestige Bangkok’s event rooms – The Grand Ballroom, Sora Room and the Drawing Rooms – together provide over 1,000 square metres of meeting space, with a cocktail capacity of up to 450 people.

On the 8th floor, the Victor Club’s Cisco TelePresence room – one of the first of it’s kind to be publically available in Thailand – uses high-definition 1080p video and spatial audio to link two physically separated spaces across the world, allowing them to become one nearly seamless conference room.
