Robert C. Hauck Appointed as Thanyapura’s Group President

Thanyapura, a Phuket-based hospitality and sports group, has appointed Mr Robert C. Hauck, as Group President of its hotel and sport facilities. The appointment is effective 1 September 2011.

Prior to his most recent role as General Manager at the Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor in Cambodia, Mr Hauck held management positions at renowned luxury hotels across Asia Pacific, including Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei, Island Shangri-La Hong Kong, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur and Pudong Shangri-La in Shanghai.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining such an innovative project as Thanyapura with its world-class facilities and hotels,” Mr Hauck said. “Thanyapura offers a remarkable range of international calibre venues and integrated activities to both the leisure and corporate markets, bringing something totally new to the Asian region – and certainly something unique to the travel and hospitality industry.”
