In the second quarter of 2012, Thai Airways International and its subsidiaries reported an operating loss before foreign currency exchange and income tax, of THB 2,727 million, compared to the previous quarter; indicated THB 3,341 million gain before foreign currency exchange and income tax. Revenues decreased by THB 5,999 million or 11.0%.

Marriott has expanded its portfolio of W Hotels in North America with the opening of W Bellevue close to Seattle. 152. Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach Opens
InterContinental Hotels Group has expanded its portfolio of hotels in Thailand with the opening of the Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach. The former Sala Talay Resort is located on one of Thailands most well-known holiday locations, and adds another 55 rooms to Holiday Inns existing 3,293 rooms across the country, with another 133 to be added via a new wing by October 2013.
