Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach Opens

InterContinental Hotels Group has expanded its portfolio of hotels in Thailand with the opening of the Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach.

The former Sala Talay Resort is located on one of Thailands most well-known holiday locations, and adds another 55 rooms to Holiday Inns existing 3,293 rooms across the country, with another 133 to be added via a new wing by October 2013.

The new wing will also house the brands Holiday Inn KidSuites, offering separate sleeping berths and other family-friendly facilities, to make for a more relaxing and enjoyable holiday for both parents and children. The kids section of the suite comes equipped with bunk beds and a play corner, including a flat screen TV, a DVD player, a game console, electronic games and toy boxes, ensuring the kids enjoy their entertainment in their own space.

The new suites, combined with our Kids Stay and Eat Free programme will make family getaways with us fun and affordable, whilst always remaining relaxing for parents who need to rest and recharge too.

The resort, which is set along Krabis Ao Nang beachfront offers guests a full range of services and facilities, including an outdoor free-form swimming pool, a fitness centre, Kids Club and a well-stocked book and DVD library in the Resort Centre.

The resort also offers a range of holistic Thai massages and treatments at its spa.

A range of dishes from across Asia are served at InAsia, the resorts restaurant, which has panoramic views over Ao Nang Beach.

Presently the resort features a choice of four room types, ranging between 45sqm and 95sqm.

The 19 Deluxe Rooms offer all the Holiday Inn standard amenities and 45sqm of free living space and balcony views, while the 21 Pool Access Rooms offer ground floor living accommodation and 45sqm of spacious comfort.

The 13 65sqm Grand Deluxe Suites promise privacy and relaxation, and the 2 Penthouse Suites have 95sqm of space and great views over the hotel grounds.

In-room features include crisp bedding with a choice of soft and firm pillows, a large walk-in rain shower, bath tubs in all rooms, free wireless internet, a spacious balcony/terrace with pool views or scenic views over Ao Nang and much more.

Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach is situated just a 30-minute drive from Krabi International Airport and a 10-minute walk from the entertainment and shopping areas of Ao Nang, yet still provides guests with a sense of serenity and seclusion.

Outdoor sightseeing options are not far away, with island-hopping trips to the famous Railay Beach and the beautiful Phi Phi, Hong and Lanta islands, along with visits to the Emerald Pool, the hot spring waterfalls and the jungles of Krabi all easily arranged from the resort tour desk. Adrenaline junkies will also be able to enjoy rock climbing, diving, snorkelling, kayaking and a whole range of other water and land based activities.

For families with younger children, the Kids Club offers an array of activities where the kids can enjoy themselves under the watchful eyes of fully trained child-minders.
