AirAsia has confirmed that it will launch an ASEAN Pass which will enable travelers to utilize pre-purchased credits to book flights at a fixed-rate across selected routes. The credit-based system will act like a single currency with routes valued according to credits, rather than different currencies. The AirAsia ASEAN Pass is expected to be launched commercially in January 2015.
