SUPERSTAR GEMINI RESUMES YELLOW SEA CRUISES

Star Cruises has announced the return of SuperStar Gemini to service the Pyongtaek-Qingdao-Dalian sector between Korea and China in the Yellow Sea region following her dry-dock in Hong Kong recently.

SuperStar Gemini had earlier commenced cruises from Qingdao to Pyongtaek, Korea on 5th June 2002 in conjunction with the recently concluded FIFA World Cup 2002 in Korea. For the new cruise season from 2nd August to 7th October 2002, SuperStar Gemini will be offering 5-Day/4-Night, 4-Day/3-Night, 3-Day/2-Night and 2-Day/1-Night cruises between the thee ports of call with passenger embarkation in all three ports.

Inaugural ceremonies were held in Qingdao and Dalian on 2nd and 5th August 2002 respectively where more than 200 guests, travel agents and members of the media were given a preview of the ship during a brief ship tour. Star Cruises had held a similar ceremony in Pyongtaek when the SuperStar Gemini was deployed there earlier.

"We are very pleased with the ceremonies in Qingdao and Dalian which marks Star Cruises' official commencement of cruise operations from both ports. We believe that Qingdao and Dalian have tremendous potential as international ports of call and we are committed to further develop their cruise tourism potential," said Mr. Chong Chee Tut, Star Cruises' Chief Operating Officer.

"We are also very pleased with the cooperation that we have received from the various governing authorities, travel agents, the media and local Qingdao and Dalian residents who have received us warmly and we hope that the people of Qingdao and Dalian will continue to support SuperStar Gemini and Star Cruises," added Mr. Chong.
