HERTZ FORGES AHEAD WITH MIDDLE EAST DRIVE TO BOOST
CAR RENTAL SERVICES AND EXPAND REGIONAL NETWORK

Hertz, the world’s largest car rental company, will continue to expand and reinforce its car rental services across the Middle East in a major drive to maintain its lead position in the regional market and boost customer services and benefits.

Development plans include more new Hertz branches, bigger car rental fleets with a wider variety of new models, enhanced customer service, inter-regional marketing and promotion strategies, and a growing number of brand loyalty programmes offering a comprehensive range of customer benefits.

“We’re committed to providing the best, and most innovative, services available in the Middle East,” said John Andrews, Director, Associations, GSA and Middle East, speaking from the Hertz exhibition stand at Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.

“Over the last two years, we have made great progress by increasing awareness of Hertz car rental and leasing services, and at the same time increasing confidence in these services. We have plans in place to make sure this trend continues. We understand the diverse needs of the inter-Middle East traveller, and cater to these needs, both in terms of business and tourism travel.”

ATM follows quickly on the heels of the annual Hertz Middle East Franchisee Conference held in Dubai last week, which was attended by representatives of Hertz franchise operations in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the UAE, and Yemen, and general sales agents in Saudi and Bahrain.

Hertz car rental benefits across the Middle East, and worldwide, are the latest advantage on offer to members of Skywards, the frequent flyer programme of Emirates and SriLankan Airlines.

Recently, Hertz Europe signed a three-year partnership agreement with Emirates and SriLankan Airlines that provides global car rental to Skywards members who will collect 500 Skywards miles on each Hertz car rental. Sywards members may additionally enrol into the Hertz # 1 Club Gold programme, a unique service speeding up the entire car rental process for frequent travellers.

The network of Hertz car rental outlets in the Middle East has doubled in size in the last two years, and now consists of 63 branches, including recently-opened branches at the Al Safir Palace Hotel in Kuwait, and at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

This month, Hertz Egypt will open another new branch in the Maadi district of Cairo, and Hertz franchises across the Middle East are regularly expanding and upgrading their rental fleets while providing superior service at competitive prices.
