Académie Accor Arabian Peninsula

The Académie Accor acts as the focus for training design, ensuring overall consistency of course content and its coherence with the Group's culture. It works right around the world through a network of relay Academies which use local training resources to incorporate the realities of life and culture in their specific regions.

Its mission is to improve visibility of career ladder within the Group and facilitate access to it. It is a fundamental truth that acquiring new skills through tailored and accessible training enables every member of staff to develop personally and professionally.

As one of the world's largest hotel groups, Accor relies on an internationally structured training policy. In Accor, training is provided for all staff, regardless of their level in the organization, their job title or the part of the firm in which they work. Every year, 20% of our employees receive professional development training.

Accor's medium-term objective is to offer every one in the Group of more than 145,000 employees the opportunity of taking yearly a minimum of one qualification-based training course.

The Académie Accor in Evry, France, is a showcase for the Group's activities and culture and acts as the focus for a worldwide network of relay Académie. This is the bedrock on which the group has built a system that ensures the dissemination of Accor's spirit and professionalism and which delivers the assurance that the Group can, and will support its entire staff in their desire to progress.

All around the world, Accor delivers it's training through an effective network of training centers, 'globetrainers' and relay Académies. As a key element in the Group strategy, the Académie Accor is now extending its international network and building on the relationships it has with the relay Académies.

It is sharply increasing the rate at which it transfers courses worldwide, in order to reach the set target of a minimum of one qualification-based training course every year for each employee of the Group.

To accompany its development growth in the Middle East, Accor recently signed a partnership agreement with the prestigious Dubai-based Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, recently accredited as Académie Accor Arabian Peninsula.

The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management established itself as a place of higher education, in academic association with École hôtelière de Lausanne, offering degree-level courses and diplomas: a unique combination that makes the Academy the first major hospitality training center in the Middle East.

With a renowned international faculty, state-of-the-art infrastructure and modern comprehensive facilities, the Academy is already one of the world's leading hospitality management school.

All current and future Accor hotels in the region will benefit from the prestigious and unique background of the Académie Accor Arabian Peninsula.

The new relay Académie Accor will not only provide training to existing hotels, but will also participate to new openings, taking a primordial part in the success of our properties.

Académie Accor Arabian Peninsula provides Académie Accor's successful programs such as 'Bienvenue chez Accor', 'Training the Trainer', 'Head of Department: a Manager', as well as training sessions such as 'Up-selling', 'Yield Management' or 'Welcoming a Guest: a State of Mind', among many other programs in every field and level (more than 400 training courses available).

The Académie Accor Arabian Peninsula will be an important tool for Accor to position itself as most attractive employer of the region, the best investment for our partners and the best service company for our guests.
