THE ST. REGIS SHANGHAI SELECTED AS INTELLIGENT BUILDING OF SHANGHAI

The St. Regis Shanghai has been awarded “Intelligent Building of Shanghai” by Intelligence Building Bureau of the Shanghai Government. The hotel was selected amongst all residential and commercial buildings in the city. The hotel is also the only hotel building to win this award. In all, nine buildings in the city have been given this accolade since 1990.

The hotel successfully brings a new form of sophisticated hotel design to the city of Shanghai. The hotel was selected after review of the following areas: Telecommunications infrastructure, building management system, safety and security system, interlocking system, meeting facilities and property management systems. Grades of A to C were given to buildings in Shanghai, The hotel was given the best Grade A, the first and only hotel selected in the city. The hotel successfully integrates the concept of western opera into the oriental flavors of this Chinese city, giving the impression of richness and luxury without over doing it.
