3 July 2002

Northwest Airlines (NASDAQ: NWAC) today announced a system-wide June load factor of 81.5 percent, 0.5 points above June 2001. System-wide Northwest flew 6.65 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs) and 8.16 billion available seat miles (ASMs) in June 2002, resulting in a traffic decrease of 8.2 percent on a capacity decrease of 8.8 percent versus June 2001.
