Fast Track launches on BBC World with the latest global travel information

BBC World, the BBC's 24-hour international news and information channel, launched Fast Track, a new weekly global round-up of travel news for both the leisure and business sectors. 

Presented by Gwenan Edwards, the new programme features reports from around the world, interviews with leading players within the industry, analyses of current trends in travel and tips for people on the move.

Commenting on the launch of the new series, Mike London, Series Producer, Fast Track said: "BBC World is the ideal channel to launch a programme like Fast Track in which we'll be covering everything from eco-tourism to airline security. We are able to draw on the huge global newsgathering resources which makes the production teams' job more exciting and rewarding - and makes Fast Track compulsive viewing whether you're travelling for business or pleasure."

Among the reports included in the new series are:

- The Bahamas goes all out to attract eco-tourists

- Australia launches campaign to attract more business tourists

- How the US cruise industry is weathering the post September 11th storm

- Montreal pulls out all the stops to attract more tourists
