Marriott expands portfolio in China with opening of the Renaissance Tianjin Hotel

Marriott International (NYSE: MAR) announced the opening of the Renaissance Tianjin Hotel. This is Marriott’s 17th hotel and the fourth Renaissance hotel in China.

The 275-room Renaissance Tianjin Hotel is owned by Tianjin Binjiang International Hotel Limited Company. Sam Ng is the general manager. 

The hotel is offering a special opening rate of RMB 588 (approximately US$71), including buffet breakfast, until the end of the year.

Tianjin is 90 minutes southeast of Beijing. The hotel is located downtown on Nanjing Road and is close to the Tianjin Music Hall, the Binjiang Shopping Center and the Tianjin Triumphal Arch Mansion.

Guest amenities at the hotel include a private Club Lounge and accommodations, health and fitness center, indoor swimming pool, gift shop, concierge desk, laundry/valet service, business center and parking. 

For dining and entertainment, the hotel features a coffee shop, Chinese restaurant and lobby lounge.

For business and social functions, the Renaissance Tianjin Hotel offers a 503-meter multi-function room that is divisible into two sections, and five meeting rooms with a total of 488 square-meters of space. 

The Renaissance Tianjin Hotel, along with over 2,100 Marriott-affiliated hotels worldwide, participates in Marriott Rewards, the guest reward program that allows members to earn their choice of points or airline miles for dollars spent during each stay.
