Lifestyles Music Festival set to rock Dubai this October

Travel News Asia 27 August 2002

Two of Dubai's biggest names in the entertainment industry, Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) and MMI, have joined hands to bring a marathon day-long Lifestyles Music Festival to Dubai this October.

Performed in the grounds of Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) this Friday October 18th, the event, headlined by an international band, will be joined by at least six other known groups in the live event.

"We are anticipating some 6,000 music-goers to join us at the Lifestyles Music Festival - the first of its kind ever held in the UAE - which is just part of a two-day Lifestyles event taking place this October 17/18th," said Nick Webb, Director of Streamline Marketing, organizers of the Lifestyles.

"Lifestyles, positioned as the 'luxury event of the year' is already being hailed as the 'premier social event of 2002'," added Webb. "Aside from the Lifestyles Music Festival there will be two-days of continuous activity that surrounds the UIM Class 1 World Offshore Powerboat Championship taking place at the same time."

Utilising the stunning location of the lawns at DIMC, Lifestyles will be styled in a 'village-like' atmosphere with guests able to witness first hand a staggering array of luxury and leisure items from super-yachts and high performance cars to premier jewelers, fashion houses and the latest in hi-tech gadgets.

"There's an exciting line-up of events that will include fashion shows and demonstrations….as well as opportunities to sample the crème of gourmet foods and beverages," said Nick Webb.

The event is held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of DIMC.
