Delta Offers Bonus for BusinessElite Travel from New York to Brussels or Frankfurt

26 June 2002

Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) is offering SkyMiles members 25,000 bonus miles when purchasing a round-trip BusinessElite ticket and traveling from New York’s John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport to Brussels or Frankfurt from July 1 through Aug. 31, 2002.

This promotion is valid on Delta-operated flights and accompanies a schedule change for Flight 140 from JFK to Brussels. Effective July 1, 2002, Flight 140 will depart JFK at 7:40 p.m. and arrive in Brussels at 9:20 a.m. local time.

"This new, later departure time allows connecting passengers as well as New Yorkers the ability to complete a day of work and then relax while traveling to Europe in Delta’s premium BusinessElite cabin," said Rob Borden, Delta’s general manager of Customer Loyalty. "Frankfurt and Brussels are two of Europe’s primary business and leisure destinations, and members traveling there this summer will be rewarded with 25,000 bonus miles -- enough for a domestic SkySaver award ticket."

Delta’s BusinessElite section features award-winning sleeper-style seats tailored specifically to customers’ needs, with 60 inches of pitch, a full 160 degrees of recline and 2x2x2 seating (never a middle seat); and a personal in-flight entertainment system, data port for online access, and computer power source at every seat.

BusinessElite customers entering Delta’s Terminal 3 at JFK now receive enhanced service at eight dedicated BusinessElite check-in counters. Featuring state-of-the-art technology, the dedicated counters are staffed by BusinessElite agents who are specially trained to assist international and transcontinental travelers. Conveniently located steps away from the BusinessElite lounge, the new counters are on the third-floor departure level immediately before the security checkpoint.

This bonus offer applies to fares booked in J and D classes on Delta Flights 106, 107, 140 and 141. In addition to the 25,000-mile bonus, members traveling with paid tickets in these classes will receive the actual miles flown plus the standard BusinessElite Class of Service bonus (25 percent of the actual miles flown).

This one-time offer is open to existing and new SkyMiles members in the United States. To register for this promotion, members must call 1-800-558-3358 and enter their SkyMiles number and code 2053, or visit www.delta.com/skymilesoffers .
