TRUST Expands Asia Pacific Presence by Adding the New Otani Hotel Group to its client roster

Travel News Asia 20 December 2002

TRUST International, a subsidiary of Cendant Corporation and a global provider of technology distribution solutions for the hospitality industry, has signed a new contract with the New Otani Hotel Group. New Otani will implement TRUST’s state-of-the-art products in their five reservation offices across the globe for reservation processing, including TRUST Voyager, TRUST View, and TRUST GDS. New Otani’s cutover from Pegasus to TRUST is scheduled for January 2003.

TRUST Voyager will be utilized at the property level to manage all data, which is then seamlessly transmitted to all distribution channels. TRUST GDS connects New Otani to over 500,000 travel agencies worldwide via automated, direct interfaces to all major Global Distribution Systems. New Otani is also deploying TRUST View, a data warehouse tool, which transforms reservation data into tailor-made management information according to a hotel or chains’ requirements.

"We have looked at every reservation system on the market and felt that TRUST was the best provider from a technology and service standpoint. Having been in discussions with TRUST for an extended period of time, we are excited to make the switchover,” said Mr. Sutomu Ohki, executive director of The New Otani Co., LTD. “Our customers are rapidly changing the way they reserve rooms. With TRUST’s Voyager Web-based reservation software, which we will use for our in-house call centers, we will be able to provide faster and more accurate information to our customers.”
