SIX CONTINENTS HOTELS BOOST PRESENCE IN NORTHERN GULF REGION WITH NEW DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING

Mr. Waddah Abu Al Ghanam, the former director of sales and marketing for Hotel Inter-Continental Doha in Qatar, has been promoted to regional director of sales and marketing for a portfolio of Six Continents Hotels properties located in the Northern Gulf region.

In his new position, Abu Al Ghanam will be responsible for overseeing the sales strategy and market position of five Six Continents hotel properties including Hotel Inter-Continental Doha, Holiday Inn Doha, Crowne Plaza Kuwait, Regency Inter-Continental Bahrain, and Holiday Inn Bahrain.

"I am delighted with this promotion," says Waddah Abu Al Ghanam. "I will use my knowledge and experience to maximise business in the region and individual hotels. I am looking forward to working with new colleagues towards the benefit of all." 

Having spent most of his life in hospitality sales, Abu Al Ghanam has been based at the Hotel Inter-Continental Doha since it opened in June 2000.

Abu Al Ghanam began his career in 1979 as sales manager at the Inter-Continental in Jordan. After years of study and professional career development in the UK and USA, he returned to his native Jordan to take up the position of senior sales manager at Inter-Continental Jordan. A promotion to director of sales and marketing followed with a move to Al Ain Inter-Continental in UAE.
